CHOP Raffle and Open Letter

Cambridge Homeless Outreach Programme (CHOP) are organising an end-of-term raffle to raise money for Street Aid and the Whitworth Trust. Street Aid is a fund which provides grants to people which help them move off the streets into accommodation, and the Whitworth Trust operates Whitworth House, a homelessness hostel which caters for young women, particularly those who have experienced physical or sexual abuse and do not feel safe cohabiting with men. The Whitworth House have recently had their funding withdrawn and are searching for alternate sources of funding to keep running their essential services.

You can buy your tickets online here or from your college rep, either for yourself or on behalf of a friend or family - winners will be drawn on the 13th March and there an amazing range of prizes, including £20 Franco Manca voucher, 5 x £10 Pho vouchers and a copy of Nelson Mandela’s Prison Letters signed by his daughter, kindly donated by Heffers!

You can also support CHOP by signing our open letter calling on colleges to take action on the homelessness crisis and to attend the next city-wide homelessness summit.
