Colm Tóibín at the Cambridge Literary Festival

Friday 1 June, 6:30pm, Union Chamber

On 1st of June (6:30pm, Union Chamber), we will be joined by Colm Tóibín, author of Costa Novel Award Brooklyn and the Man Booker shortlisted The Master, to talk about his latest work House of Names. Lyrical, meditative and artfully stark, Tóibín retells the ancient Greek Tragedy of the House of Atreus. Bringing the mythical characters Agamemnon, Clytemnestra, Orestes and Electra to life, Tóibín recounts tales of intimate violence, murderous actions, exile and survival in the most devastatingly human fashion. This is storytelling at its best.
